My Story

Since our darling daughter, Grace, was born in 2002 we have been "learning barefoot". My husband, Shawn, and I decided in early 2004 that she would be homeschooled. 

Barefoot Books has provided me with an ideal backdrop for our adventures and a wealth of wonderful opportunities to connect to a community of like-minded families.  I love the art... and I adore the look on the children's faces that I share the stories with. 

An unexpected bonus in my journey has been the joy my daughter has shown as I have shared with her my re-discovered passion for story telling and truly wonderful, engaging stories.  Her current favorite is (once again!) The Story Tree, last week it was Skip Through the Seasons.  What's your child's favorite?  Send me a short paragraph telling me why and you will be entered into my monthly free drawing.
